Govt. restores ETA system extending biggest relief to tourism sector

The government reinstated the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system, so visitors can again apply online for pre-arrival visas, with processing expected within 24 hours.
Officials indicated the 30-day tourist visa fee would fall, with lower rates for SAARC nationals and free visas for children under 12, and announced an audit of the outsourced visa service that had caused delays.
